BW SIPP enters growth phase under new CEO

Nick Cooper has been appointed CEO of BW SIPP, marking the next chapter in the business’s growth journey following a significant operational and technological transformation. With over 30 years of industry experience and a key role in developing our new SIPP360^® platform, Nick’s leadership brings fresh commercial focus and strategic continuity.

Nick has been pivotal in reshaping BW SIPP over the past year as Head of SIPP Proposition. His appointment follows a planned leadership transition from Simon Foster, ahead of his retirement later this year, ensuring a smooth handover and continuity of vision as the business shifts from transformation to market expansion.

Nick played a key role in the development of SIPP360 – a secure, cloud-based administration platform designed to deliver scalable and reliable outcomes for clients. His direct involvement supports a seamless evolution into the next phase of growth.

Prior to joining BW, Nick held senior roles at Aviva, Zurich, and Clerical Medical, where he specialised in retirement propositions and strategic partnerships. He also helped shape Embark Group’s SIPP offering for digital platforms and served as Head of Master Trust Proposition at XPS and SEI – experience that gives him a well-rounded view of the evolving pensions landscape.

The leadership transition comes as BW SIPP completes a major period of operational and technological transformation under Simon's leadership, delivering improved service levels, higher quality, and a stronger customer-focused culture aligned with Consumer Duty. With these foundations in place, the business is now well-positioned to accelerate its growth strategy.
