Scott advises both trustees and employers of a wide range of pension schemes including both final salary and money purchase arrangements.

He has experience of all areas of actuarial consultancy work including valuations, investment strategy, benefit design, accounting for pension costs, member communications, and the PPF.

Significant experience:

• provides advice and support to trustees of pension schemes ranging in size up to £100m
• helped negotiate valuation results and recovery plans saving employers substantial deficit contributions
• advised a wide range of employers on the tricky issues surrounding their participation in multi-employer schemes including The Pensions Trust and LGPS
• designed and helped employers introduce revised benefit structures that reduce both cost and risk
• provided advice on a variety of bulk annuity transactions
