Reena's main role will focus on bringing her knowledge and experience as a lead investment consultant to Barnett Waddingham with the aim of boosting the already strong  DC investment team.

She believes that the DC landscape is seeing significant change which allows Barnett Waddingham to use its’ wealth of expertise to provide innovative solutions which deliver better member outcomes in a sustainable and responsible way.

Significant experience:

  • Advising trustees on DC investment strategy design, taking account of individual scheme circumstances, investment beliefs and constraints
  • Advising on investment strategy and governance for AVC arrangements
  • Identifying the most appropriate operational DC investment structure, including advising on and implementing a move from a trustee based scheme to a Master Trust arrangement
  • Advising trustees on a range of DB investment consulting issues, including investment strategy, risk management, flight planning and responsible investment
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market practice, legislation and DC governance requirements.

Career

Reena has 16 years of pensions industry experience, where she was the Lead Investment Consultant on several clients which include DB and DC schemes. The last 13 years in her career were at Aon, where she was a successful Senior Investment Consultant.

Reena’s experience includes establishing a network of mentors for those who are taking parental leave. She believes it is incredibly important to provide support at this time to ensure diversity in the workplace continues.

Interests

When not working, Reena is busy spending time with her children, aged 6 and 8.
