Nicole Tooze FIA

Nicole is an actuary and senior client account manager to a range of trustees and sponsors of defined benefit pension schemes.

Nicole works primarily with trustees of DB schemes, providing actuarial advice on the cost of funding benefits, terms for setting members’ benefits, management of risk, and a wide range of other issues surrounding the running of DB schemes. She is also a post-transaction expert and provides support and advice to Trustees as they go through the process to wind-up.

She has experience of working with a wide range of UK businesses and their defined benefit schemes. Her main experience is advising small to mid-sized schemes ranging from £15m to £200m.

Significant experience:

• Managing complex pension scheme projects including facilitating buy-ins and managing the process to buy-out.
• Supporting trustees and managing scheme funding valuations, including valuations with complex benefit structures and negotiations with sponsors.
• Advice on wider pension scheme matters, including reviewing member option terms, PPF levy mitigation, governance arrangements and keeping trustees abreast of current pensions issues.
• Advice on UK and international accounting disclosures to employers.
