Mike has experience providing actuarial and consultancy advice to trustees and sponsors of defined benefit (DB) pension schemes on a wide variety of issues.

He works with pension schemes of all sizes, with his clients ranging from £5 million to over £1 billion. Mike advises clients on scheme funding and valuations, as well as providing advice on journey planning and member option design and liability management exercises.

Mike is a member of the firm's Pensions Actuarial Technical Committee which carries out research and provides technical support across the firm. Mike is also a member of the firm’s specialist GMP equalisation team.

Career

Mike graduated from Durham University with a first class master’s degree in mathematics in 2013. He joined the actuarial team in our Amersham office in the same year and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute Faculty of Actuaries in 2016. Mike moved to our Liverpool office in 2019.

Interests 

Mike is a keen runner and spends a lot of his spare time training for his next event. He also enjoys hiking and travelling when he gets the opportunity.
