Emily specialises in the provision of investment advice to both trustee and corporate clients. This includes objective setting, strategy reviews, selecting investment managers and considering investment risk in the wider context of the pension scheme.

Emily has a wealth of experience having consulted schemes since 2008. She advises a range of UK pension schemes, both in terms of asset size and investment strategy complexity. 

Significant experience:

  • investment strategy review work
  • advice on de-risking and the use of different types of trigger strategies
  • implementation of LDI mandates, including trustee training, advising on the technical aspects of hedging and implementation
  • manager selection exercises, monitoring and review

Career

Emily graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University in 1998 with a degree in Economics and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2004. She has significant experience in providing investment advice to pension schemes. Emily joined Barnett Waddingham LLP in January 2011, having previously worked at Barnett Waddingham from 1998 to 2005 and at another investment consulting practice from 2006 to 2011.
