Brian is the Technical Manager of our Pension Administration practice area. His responsibilities include the oversight of the technical team who ensure our processes and communications comply with legislative requirements and meet our clients’ expectations. He also provides day to day technical support to our administration teams and has editorial control of our monthly PATHways publication.

In addition to managing the technical team, he has particular expertise in identifying and analysing pension related legislation and regulation and communicating this in a way that can be easier understood by others.  Brian is also an active member of a number of firm and industry wide committees.

Brian has experience of helping clients across a range of occupational pensions including defined benefit, defined contribution, CARE and hybrid schemes.  


Significant experience:

  • has managed a number of change control projects, including the introduction of pension flexibility and the cessation of defined benefit contracting out.  
  • identifying and analysing current and future legislative and regulatory change, as well as responding to Government consultation papers. 
  • Deputy Chair of the Society of Pension Professionals Administration Committee and current Chair of the Aries Pensions Club Management Committee.
  • worked for over 28 years within the pensions industry, with experience working for both large insurance companies and pension consultancy firms.
