As a Partner in our Actuarial Consulting team, Andrew supports clients across Scotland and the wider UK, focusing on corporate pensions strategy and risk transfer.
A senior leader and trusted adviser to boards, sponsors and trustees, he blends technical expertise with pragmatic, commercially-minded advice to help organisations manage risk, improve governance and deliver better outcomes for employees.
With significant experience spanning both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes, Andrew has guided numerous clients through the design, funding, and evolution of their pension arrangements. His expertise extends across all aspects of risk transfer – from scheme closures to member options and end-game planning – ensuring that each step aligns with the client’s strategic objectives.
He has pioneered alternative de-risking solutions, including the use of captive structures and surety bonds, and plays a leading role in shaping consolidation strategies such as DB master trust transitions.
Beyond the technical, Andrew brings a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and governance, helping C-suite leaders and trustees navigate their regulatory responsibilities with confidence, clarity and purpose.
