Alex leads Barnett Waddingham’s IT Project Management Office (PMO) Team and has overall responsibility for overseeing and co-ordinating multiple IT Programmes and Projects ensuring they deliver to the required business objectives. 

A key part of his role is to lead the IT PMO to be a centre of project management excellence that enables all IT projects to be effectively prioritised, planned and delivered as per the agreed timescales, costs and requirements. 

Alex has over 25 years of experience in senior roles across operational, ICT, and finance functions, and has a proven track record of delivering critical, high-profile, and complex programmes and projects within challenging timeframes. 

Significant experience:

  • Highly capable Programme Manager, adept at handling single or concurrent projects, managing end-to-end implementations using methodologies such as Prince, Agile, Oracle AIM, and Waterfall. 

  • Solution-focused approach, thrives in dynamic environments, and has significant experience at communicating with senior business and technology stakeholders.

  • ACCA qualified accountant and Prince 2 and MSP Practitioner.

Career

Alex has been with Barnett Waddingham since August 2022 initially as the Oracle Implementation Manager and now in his current role of Head of IT Programme Management. Prior to this, Alex spent over 5 years working as a Contract Programme Manager specialising in the Implementation of Oracle Cloud within several large public sector organisations.

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) (Affiliate).

Interests

Outside the office Alex enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel, eating out and cooking. Additionally, he also enjoys playing golf and is a member of his local club.
