Be the best that you can be...

Designed for undergraduates with one year of studying remaining, our eight week programme offers first class training and work experience enabling you to gain an excellent understanding of what an actuary and our firm does.

You will be given real responsibility to contribute to client work and be encouraged to attend client events where possible. In addition to this you will get the opportunity to spend time in our other practice areas and complete a firmwide project.

Working with us

Since our programme started we have received excellent feedback from the students who have taken part, many of which have developed their career with us after university.

Your experience will also give you a good insight as to why our employees enjoy working at Barnett Waddingham and why as a graduate this is an excellent environment to build your actuarial career in. Read our blogs by our staff and see what they have to say.

Our graduate scheme supports employees to achieve their full FIA (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries) qualification.

Fellowship is the highest level of qualification attainable within the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and is largely sought after within the actuarial field. Our Summer internship offers the opportunity to move on to our graduate programme, giving you exposure to the FIA exams and the work that is required to complete these. To qualify for the summer internship, you would be required to have: GCSE Grade C or above in English language, a grade A in A-level mathematics, 300 UCAS points and be on track for a 2:1 or above degree.
