Senior pensions specialist Andrew Simpson joins to drive Scottish growth

Barnett Waddingham (BW) has appointed Andrew Simpson as a Partner in our Actuarial Consulting team, strengthening our presence in the Scottish and wider UK pensions market.  

Andrew brings extensive experience in corporate advisory, risk transfer and consolidation vehicles, having advised a wide range of corporate and trustee clients on pension and employee benefit strategies – including FTSE companies, multinationals, family businesses, professional bodies and charities.

His expertise also includes implementing innovative solutions such as captives and surety bonds as alternatives to traditional pension insurance transactions.  

Before joining us, Andrew held senior leadership roles at major consultancies in Scotland, where he headed an Edinburgh office and helped build a corporate pensions team from inception.

Andrew’s new role at BW will be focused on driving innovation and delivering client-focused solutions across pensions consultancy. Based in Scotland, he will work closely with our Actuarial Consulting team to expand our capabilities and client base across the region.
