Sustainable Investment Report 2024

Barnett Waddingham is proud to present our 2024 Sustainable Investment Report, covering the period from 1 January to 31 December 2024.

This report demonstrates how we are delivering on our commitments to the:

• UK Stewardship Code.
• Net Zero Investment Consultants Initiative (NZICI).
• Impact Investing Principles for Pensions for investment consultants.

Through practical case studies, progress updates and transparent reporting, we show how sustainability continues to drive value for our clients, our people and wider society.

2024 highlights

Over 2024 we have:

• Supported clients in advancing their net zero journeys, integrating climate data and improving stewardship.
• Promoted systems-thinking in investment strategy to tackle complex, interconnected risks such as biodiversity loss and social inequality.
• Delivered dedicated sustainability training across all investment consulting teams, ensuring high-quality, future-focused advice.
• Helped clients meet climate governance requirements, including through our proprietary Sustainability Monitoring Reports.
• Participated in industry collaboration initiatives to shape best practice in stewardship and sustainable finance.

At a firmwide level we have:

• Achieved 100% waste diversion from landfill and offset 991 tonnes of CO₂e through certified climate projects.
• Contributed over 1,000 hours of employee volunteering, with nearly half supporting environmental projects.
