The role of our secretarial operations team is to provide central administration support services to all parts of Barnett Waddingham. To provide these services our team includes secretaries, receptionists, telephonists, facilities, and operations positions that all work together.

Our apprentices work towards the level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship and play an important part in the smooth running of our business. As an apprentice Secretary and Receptionist, you will provide secretarial and administration services including front-of-house reception duties and meeting room coordination and support tasks.

  • Processing incoming and outgoing post
  • Ordering and distributing stationery
  • Archiving, scanning, and E-filing 
  • Preparing reports and agenda documents
  • Data entry/typing or amending documents
  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Booking, setting up and clearing of meeting rooms
  • Ordering catering and other refreshments for meetings
  • Courier and taxi bookings
  • Assisting with fundraising for designated local charities
  • GCSE grade 5 / C or above
  • Scottish Intermediate 2 certificates grade A to C
  • Scottish Standard Grades (credit Level) grade 1 to 2
  • Scottish National 5 certificates grade A to C
