Overview

Level: 3  Duration: 18 months

You will study the Infrastructure Technician apprenticeship whilst working in the role. The programme is well structured, with the support of independent skills coaches, mentors and line managers to ensure you succeed in your role and study. You will receive a comprehensive induction and be part of the Barnett Waddingham early careers network of over 50 apprentices, interns and graduates. You will receive ongoing support and the opportunity to develop your skills.

  • Respond to IT related queries from colleagues whilst prioritising issues
  • Provide IT support to the local office users
  • Escalate issues to the relevant teams
  • Mobile device management including setup and distribution
  • Setup of laptop hardware, peripherals and user troubleshooting
  • Providing document fixes and troubleshooting techniques and distributing this information to the IT support team to improve efficiency
  • Participate in team meetings with all team members to discuss projects, issues and team performance
  • GCSE grade 5 / C or above
  • Scottish Intermediate 2 certificates grade A to C
  • Scottish Standard Grades (credit Level) grade 1 to 2
  • Scottish National 5 certificates grade A to C
