UK With-Profits Funds: investment performance and strategy 2016

This is the third investigation Barnett Waddingham has conducted into the investment strategies of UK with-profits funds.

The purpose of our investigation is twofold:

• to understand sources of differences in returns over the last year and over the last three years
• to observe investment strategy trends over the last year

We hope that this report will stimulate debate within insurers as to whether some of the approaches taken by others may be appropriate for them.
