Auto-enrolment is very much wider than simply enrolling eligible employees into pension schemes that meet certain quality standards.

Some employers are not entirely comfortable with their auto-enrolment implementation, feeling like they merely ‘got through it’ due to factors such as scarcity of experience with the new legislation and limited preparation time.

We believe that few employers have since revisited both their implementation and ongoing processes for compliance. In addition, there have been, and will continue to be, a number of clarifications and easements to the early rules many employers may not be aware of these.

We offer employers a three stage ’audit‘. These stages can be taken in isolation if there are concerns over particular areas only.

  • Stage 1 - Strategic Audit, a high level overview
  • Stage 2 - Implementation Audit, an in-depth review of assessment, communications and payments
  • Stage 3 - Contribution Audit, an in-depth review that contributions have been correctly applied

“The reality is that many firms who tried their hardest to comply with the complex legislation may think they have sorted out their staff auto-enrolment provision but could be in for an expensive fall in the future”
