Rosie is an actuary, specialising in pension scheme de-risking, predominately focusing on the bulk annuity market.

Rosie’s first hand insurer experience allows her to provide advice on how to get the best from insurers. In particular, she understands the challenges insurers can face and so is well placed to find practical ways forwards. Having managed large, small, simple and complex transaction executions, her project management skills are exceptional meaning that she can help schemes and sponsors grasp opportunities when they arise and ultimately achieve their objectives.

She has helped a wide variety of schemes and sponsors complete bulk annuity transactions, with over 10 years’ experience in this space. She volunteers with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in different capacities.


Significant experience

  • advised the Trustee of the Old British Steel Pension Scheme on their £2bn PPF+ transaction
  • led the execution and commercial negotiations on an £80m bulk annuity transaction 
  • previously a Senior Manager at Scottish Widows where she was a founding member of their bulk annuity business, writing c£4billion since 2015; this included transactions with high profile companies such as Hitachi, Barloworld and Greene King
  • pension scheme de-risking, insurance and regulatory services expertise
  • supervised bulk annuity insurers at the PRA and has experience in implementing Solvency II insurance regulation
