Michael graduated from Leeds University in 2001 with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and joined Barnett Waddingham’s Leeds office in 2002.
Having initially worked in the Self Invested Pensions team which provides consultancy for Small Self-Administered Pension Schemes (SSASs) and Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs), Michael obtained the Personal Finance Society Diploma in Financial Planning before transferring to the Trustee Consulting team in 2006.
Michael qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2010, transferred to the Amersham office in 2011, and become an associate of the firm in 2016.

Michael is married and has twin daughters who take up the majority of his time outside of the office. However, when time allows, he enjoys playing golf and travelling.
