Lisa Nowak FIA

Associate and Senior Technical Actuary

Lisa is a Senior Technical Actuary in Barnett Waddingham’s Actuarial Calculation Team. She has a varied, project-based role, grounded in technical defined benefit pension scheme matters. Lisa is predominantly a Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) subject matter expert and is involved in the management and delivery of GMP and other complex data and benefit transformation projects. She works across our business areas to develop solutions to complex and multi-faceted problems faced by our trustee clients.

Lisa’s main area of expertise is large and complex data and benefit transformation exercises. This includes GMP rectification, equalisation and conversion as well as historic benefit correction exercises. She also has experience of applying PRINCE 2 project management methodology.

Given the specialist nature of her role, Lisa is predominantly a consultant to other client-facing Barnett Waddingham teams. She helps our teams deliver GMP and other data and benefit transformation projects effectively to our defined benefit trustee clients. While Lisa mainly assists ongoing pension schemes, she also provides support to our clients going through the PPF assessment process and schemes looking to secure their benefits with an insurer or consolidator.
