Pension Administration Team Leader - PPF

Jo currently manage the Birmingham PPF ongoing administration team, consisting of eight team members.

Whilst in this role as team leader at Barnett Waddingham she has had responsibility for the overall provision of administrative services for large, high profile schemes whilst in assessment for entry into the PPF, namely BHS Pension Scheme and the Old British Steel Pensions Scheme.

Jo ensures the delivery of a high quality client service, meeting specified SLAs and adhering to all necessary legislative requirements.

Another important element of Jo's role is to support the training and career development of team members, as well as their health and wellbeing.

Jo main clients include large DB schemes that are in the PPF assessment period.


Significant experience:

To date Jo has a total of 12 years’ experience managing pension administration teams, varying in size from 8 to 23 team members and a varied portfolio of pension schemes. She is also a member of the following groups:

  • Member of the Qualifications Committee
  • Member of the Pension Administration Training Group
  • Birmingham office Qualifications Advisor 

Jo is the Birmingham office mentor for pension administrators undertaking the Certificate in Pensions Calculations and Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provisions. 

Other expertise 

Responsible for the resource management and administration processes for a trivial payments exercise on a high profile client, culminating in a member take up rate over 65% of approximately 9,000 eligible members and total payments in excess of £50 million.
