Associate and Investment Consultant

Jemma is an Investment Actuary based in our Bristol office. She advises a range of DB pension schemes on investment matters including setting strategy, manager selection and effective monitoring.

Jemma works with a wide range of pension schemes ranging from £5 million to £500 million in asset size. She has developed particular expertise in liability hedging and has helped many schemes significantly reduce their key investment risks by developing appropriate liability driven investment strategies. 

Jemma’s experience, clear advice and tailored approach have helped many trustees of Defined Benefit pension schemes improve the effectiveness of their investment strategies. Jemma also has experience in assisting employers of schemes engage with Trustees on investment matters.


Significant experience

  • designing bespoke investment strategies for clients with a wide range of funding positions and covenant strengths
  • designing, reviewing and monitoring liability driven investment approaches
  • assisting trustees in considering and determining their key aims, investment beliefs and constraints in order to frame strategy decisions
  • monitoring of strategies, in particular highlighting the key causes of any changes in funding and if action is required
