LGPS (Scotland) Regulations 2018 - Exit Credits
The new Local Government Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2018 came into effect on 1 June 2018, in response to a previous consultation which had closed in January 2018. Following the lead of recent LGPS (Amendment) Regulations 2018 which applies to the English and Welsh LGPS Funds, this new regulation introduces the possibility of an exit credit under Regulation 61.
"With the introduction of the Regulations, from 1 June 2018, employers will be entitled to receive an "exit credit" if a surplus is identified in the cessation valuation."
