Employee benefits: a key part of the employee value proposition in South East Asia
Join us at our roundtable forum to discuss why employee benefits are a key part of the employee value proposition in South East Asia.
Employee benefits consistently rank amongst the top ten attraction and retention drivers across South East Asia. In markets where the demand for high-skilled, high-performing and high-potential talent continues to outpace supply, ensuring that the employee benefits offered meet employee needs whilst also aligning with corporate objectives continues to challenge employers across the region. With total spend on employee benefits in the region averaging around 20% to 30% of payroll, it is critical that benefits are kept under regular review to ensure the employer’s benefits dollar is targeted in the right direction.
Mark Whatley, Consulting Actuary and Practice Leader – Employee Benefits Asia at Milliman in Singapore, will be joining us to share insights on the benefits landscape in the South East Asia. The session will cover typical benefits practice, recent legislative updates and current trends. The main focus will be on Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, where Milliman has employee benefits teams on the ground, however it will also touch on other countries in the region.
Mark has been based in Singapore for over 13 years and has extensive experience of providing benefits and retirement consulting advice to local, multinational and government-linked companies across the region. Prior to joining Milliman in 2017, Mark led the regional benefits consulting business for another global consulting firm.
This roundtable will focus on the implications for employers as they consider their benefit programs in South East Asia and provide a forum for peer-to-peer discussions.
