Paul Jayson
Paul Jayson FIA
Paul qualified as Fellow of the
Institute of Actuaries
in 1993 having graduated from the University of London in 1987 with a degree in Statistics and Economics.
Paul joined Barnett Waddingham as a Partner in 2006 following its acquisition of Higham Group’s Actuarial Consulting & Benefits Practice, which he headed up. Prior to that he spent eight years as a partner in a specialist actuarial and benefits consultancy, having trained and qualified as an actuary at a worldwide firm of actuaries and employee benefit consultants.
Paul provides actuarial, consultancy and strategic advice on benefit and investment issues to a wide range of pension scheme Trustee boards. He also assists Companies in dealing with their pension issues and setting appropriate strategy, giving practical advice that takes account of the wider commercial context of the business.
He is particularly alert to ensuring that advice is communicated in a clear, unambiguous and tailored manner so that the message is not lost in the detail. He provides clear, uncomplicated and practical advice to clients so that they have all the information needed to make robust and informed decisions.
During his career Paul has spoken extensively on pension and investment issues at forums including the
Institute of Actuaries
,
CBI
and Trustee training events. He is also a regular contributor of pension articles to the pension and other professional trade press.
Outside of work Paul enjoys spending time with his two young daughters and trying to stay fit through tennis, cycling and skiing. He also enjoys travelling and cooking.
