Esther joined Barnett Waddingham in 2008 following the firm’s acquisition of Garvins, a small actuarial consultancy based in Birmingham. Prior to training as an actuary she studied Mathematical Sciences at Jesus College, Oxford.She was awarded the McKinsey Prize for Communications for her performance in the April 2008 actuarial examinations and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2009. In 2014 Esther was made an Associate of the firm. Esther then became a Principal at Barnett Waddingham in June 2020.

Esther’s time outside work is mostly monopolised by two small daughters.She then begrudgingly squeezes in a bare minimum of keeping fit before burying her head in a good book (if she’s not asleep first).
