She spent most of her professional career to date as a pensions actuary, holding a number of Scheme Actuary appointments. She chose to “retire” as an actuary when her son was born and decided to return to the industry as a governance specialist.
Claire has always been interested in governance as the breadth of topics it covers is wide and interesting. As a Scheme Actuary, Claire’s clients were mainly the trustees of defined benefit schemes.
She now undertakes a full range of governance-related work within the Pensions Management team and is heavily involved in developing materials to help clients run their schemes in line with the Regulator’s expectations.
