International Pensions Roundtable | France

08.00 - 10.00 | Barnett Waddingham, London

French pensions – big changes are coming soon…

Two major pension reforms that will dramatically change the French pensions landscape are scheduled for 2019:

  1. The government is preparing a systemic reform covering all mandatory pension plans (the basic social security plan and the complementary plan, ARRCO-AGIRC) which is expected to be discussed before parliament in 2019. This reform would replace the 42 different arrangements that currently exist with a single universal pension scheme.
  2. A new law, “loi PACTE”, was passed in April 2019 and is targeted for implementation from 1 January 2020. This law includes a reform of supplementary retirement savings arrangements and will significantly change the framework for company pension plans.

Join us to hear from our regional expert François Cheynet, Principal, Milliman, Paris who will provide the latest on these upcoming reforms and discuss the impact they will have on your operations and employees in France.

This roundtable will be covering current issues from the perspective of the employer and will be used as a forum for peer to peer discussions.
