Barnett Waddingham has promoted three of its staff to the position of partner, taking the firm’s total number of partners to 62.

The new partners are:

Jonathan Daykin

Jonathan joined Barnett Waddingham’s Cheltenham office in 2004 after graduating from Pembroke College, Cambridge with a first class degree in Mathematics in the same year.  Jonathan qualified as an actuary in February 2008 and specialises in providing investment consultancy advice, covering the full range of services from strategic advice and investment manager selection to performance monitoring and trustee training.  Jonathan is a member of the management team for Barnett Waddingham’s investment consulting practice and has played a key role in overseeing development of asset-liability modelling tools.

Paul Leandro

Paul joined Barnett Waddingham’s London office in 2002 after graduating from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2001 with a degree in Philosophy and Social Policy.  Paul transferred to Barnett Waddingham’s Liverpool office in 2012 to lead the employee benefits team in the North of the UK. He provides consultancy to a number of corporate clients in the design and ongoing governance of employee benefit arrangements.  Paul recently led a major project with one of the largest employers in the North West which involved the consolidation of 15 defined contribution pension schemes and the design and implementation of an auto-enrolment scheme for over 2,000 employees.

Simon Taylor

Simon has over 20 years of experience as an actuary in the corporate market and joined the London corporate consulting team of Barnett Waddingham in 2013.  Simon specialises in giving advice to companies on their defined benefit pension schemes; in particular on managing risk and liabilities, developing benefit settlement and exit plans, scheme design, company accounting for pensions and the financing and funding of pensions.  Since joining Barnett Waddingham, Simon has been heavily involved in the strong growth of the corporate consulting practice’s business, and has played a significant role in attracting several new clients in the past 12 months.
