The revolving door for DWP Ministers
The announcement David Gauke is leaving the DWP after little more than six months has not gone down well in the pensions industry. His replacement, Esther McVey, was appointed after the former Education Secretary Justine Greening turned the job down.

With the new incumbent now in post we will have had five secretaries of state since the start of the Conservative government in May 2015 and as many as 14 under different governments since 1997."
“This is a high turnover and the Government is not giving ministers enough time in the post to get to grips with the issues.
“It is particularly disappointing that it has been found necessary to move David Gauke on after a little more than six months in the job."
