Waiting for your Individual Protection 2014 certificate?

Published by Bhargaw Buddhdev on

Want to re-start pension contributions subject to receiving your Individual Protection 2014 (IP14) certificate?

We have the news you are waiting for.

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) had originally anticipated issuing the first set of IP14 certificates in October 2014. However, we have learnt that due to IT issues at HMRC these will now be issued late November or early December 2014.

We also understand that anyone who has applied for IP14 and has either Enhanced Protection, Fixed Protection 2012 or Fixed Protection 2014 will not receive an IP14 certificate but instead HMRC will issue a letter confirming award of dormant IP14 in the same timescales.

Individuals with pension savings of at least £1.25m as at 5 April 2014, should consider applying for IP14 and taking expert advice.
