Impact of Pensions on UK Business
Impact of Pensions on UK Business
With companies seemingly pouring ever increasing amounts into their defined benefit pension schemes we have undertaken some independent research into the real impact these arrangements
are having on UK business. This project, which was undertaken with input from the Centre for Global Finance at the University of the West of England, will be of interest to Directors of companies that sponsor a DB scheme and will allow them to benchmark their pension exposure against their peers.
Our research shows the widespread impact DB schemes are having on the businesses of some of the UK’s largest companies. A small number of high profile companies are often highlighted for the size of their DB pension obligations but our research shows the significance of DB pensions to a much wider group of companies.
