Barnett Waddingham announces seminars on the Impact of Pension Schemes on UK Business for November 2011
Barnett Waddingham, the UK’s leading independent firm of actuaries and consultants, has announced a series of free nationwide seminars on the ‘Impact of Pension Schemes on UK Business’ to be held in November 2011.
The seminars will discuss the impact of recent investment market volatility on current accounting positions and consider how changes to the Accounting Standard IAS19 will affect company accounts. They will also review the results of Barnett Waddingham’s research into the impact of pension schemes on UK business.
The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) is due to consult on the calculation of the 2012/13 PPF levy in the autumn. These seminars will also be an opportunity to look at the potential winners and losers under the new structure and discuss the steps that companies should be taking to mitigate their schemes’ levies.
