Barnett Waddingham launches pensions rescue initiative
Barnett Waddingham, experienced providers of SSASs and SIPPs, has launched an initiative to help rescue people with existing SSASs or EPPs who have been stranded by professionals leaving the marketplace since the tax reforms of 2006. In order to ease the pain of appointing new advisers, Barnett Waddingham will help towards covering the exit costs of previous administrators.
As well as offering a free initial meeting, Barnett Waddingham is offering to pay costs of up to £450 plus VAT to the other provider if a charge is levied for transferring the SSAS to Barnett Waddingham.
Speaking about this new initiative, Richard Millson, the partner in charge of SSASs at Barnett Waddingham, said:
“We have found many schemes are not getting the attention they need, either where there is no longer a professional involved, or where in some cases, schemes have even been left without a Scheme Administrator. With pension rules changing, it is vital that these people are served by an experienced pension provider. We want to make moving a SSAS or EPP to Barnett Waddingham as easy as possible for them and the contribution towards costs should help this process.”
