Annemarie Allen joins Barnett Waddingham
Barnett Waddingham, the UK’s leading independent firm of actuaries and consultants, has strengthened its public sector practice with the appointment of senior pension consultant, Annemarie Allen.
Annemarie joins the team with over 20 year’s experience of Local Government Pension Schemes in both the administration of the LGPS and assisting employers with their pension issues. Her expertise will complement the existing skills and experience of the Barnett Waddingham team in the growing areas of administration consulting, employer advice and pension fund governance.
The expansion of the Barnett Waddingham public sector practice reflects its growth over the last six years. Barnett Waddingham’s public sector business accounts for over 20% of all LGPS actuarial appointments, placing it among the top three actuarial consulting firms for public sector pensions in the UK.
Graeme Muir, Barnett Waddingham’s Public Sector Practice Leader, said:
“It is clear that public sector pensions will remain in the spotlight in the run up to the election and well beyond, providing many challenges for employers who want to continue to provide decent workplace based pensions for their employees. Change looks inevitable and Annemarie brings many years experience to the team to help advise both LGPS Funds and their employers in what will be a challenging time ahead for all concerned”
