Trustee Meeting Handbook 2009

We have updated our Trustee Meeting Handbook for 2009.

The handbook is intended to be a reference guide for trustees to use at trustee meetings, to help their governance responsibilities.  The handbook includes:

  • items for consideration at each trustee meeting
  • items to consider with the employer
  • items for notification to the actuary
  • items for notification to The Pensions Regulator
  • items for notification to HMRC
  • items to consider with the investment manager
  • items to include on an annual meeting plan

The handbook also includes comments on:

  • managing conflicts of interest
  • internal controls
  • breaches of legislation
  • trustee knowledge and understanding

We have also included a section on actions to take before 31 March 2009 in order to manage your PPF levy.  Please also refer to our website www.thelevyforum.co.uk for information about the PPF levy.
