Local Government Transfer Value Statistics 2009 - 2010
The calculation of the terms of transfer for individual members should be in accordance with the tables and instructions supplied by the Department of Communities and Local Government. The Adjustment for Market Conditions (AMC) used in the calculations should be based upon the appropriate figure from the table below. For ease of reference the current monthly figure is highlighted in the table in bold type - figures for earlier months are shown for completeness.
From 1 October 2008 there are two changes to the monthly yield figure used to determine the AMC in transfer calculations.
Firstly there is no longer a minimum level for yields (previously subject to a minimum of 2%).
Secondly, the yield used is now the average of the yield of the index linked gilts of over 15 years duration, using the average of 0% inflation assumption and 5% inflation assumption (previously transfer calculations used the yield of the index linked gilts of over 5 years duration using the 0% inflation assumption only).
