Nilesh Dodhia

It is with great sadness that we are letting our friends and clients know that Nilesh Dodhia passed away this morning, the 4th September.  Nilesh worked for Barnett Waddingham from our very beginning in 1989, qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1996 and had been a partner in the Amersham office for the last 9 years.

Nilesh had the very best medical care but there was no treatment that could defeat his cancer.  In the past few days Nilesh had the chance to say farewell to his wife Daksha and his children, Sonia and Dhillon, and to his wider family.  They are of course terribly sad, but comforted that Nilesh had no pain in these last difficult weeks, and that he is now at peace.  Nilesh had a good life albeit short.  The family have wonderful memories to treasure including his time and many friends at Barnett Waddingham.  All of us are going to miss having Nilesh around: he was a true friend and much-loved colleague.

Nilesh himself anticipated that he would not be returning to his desk and made careful preparations to make sure that none of his work went by default.  Even at the end he was more concerned for others than himself.  A mark of the wonderful man he was.
