Trustee Training Summer 2007
With the Pensions Regulator requiring all trustees to have a minimum standard of knowledge and understanding the need for proper trustee training is more important than ever before. Barnett Waddingham's comprehensive courses are designed to enable pension scheme trustees to meet these requirements.
Course Content
Barnett Waddingham's trustee training programme for spring 2007 has been designed to cover the 'trustee knowledge and understanding' requirements.
The whole syllabus is covered during two full one-day courses, each of which is standalone. Day 1 includes: pension trust and trusteeship, trustee obligations and powers, UK pensions, regulatory background, introduction to funding and an introduction to investments. Day 2 includes: developing an investment strategy, actuarial risk, contribution requirements, scheme funding legislation and reviewing investments.
The course has also been designed to provide training for those who wish to take the PMI (Pensions Management Institute) examination for the Award in Pension Trusteeship, the recognised qualification in the UK for pension scheme trustees.
A course folder is provided to each delegate at registration which is intended to service as a future reference document.
Specialist Investment Course
Trustees wishing to broaden their understanding of investment strategy development will find our investment course of particular benefit.
