Aon's SSAS portfolio moves to Barnett Waddingham

London, 12 March 2007: Barnett Waddingham LLP, an independent firm of actuaries and consultants working across pensions and investments, today announced its purchase of Aon's consulting and trustee services for Small Self Administered Schemes ("SSASs").

Under the agreement, the team from Aon Consulting led by Bhargaw Buddhdev and Peter Brook will also transfer across to Barnett Waddingham to ensure that clients continue to be served by familiar and experienced individuals.

Adrian Waddingham, Senior Partner, Barnett Waddingham said; "There is great interest in self-invested pension plans, we are delighted to be expanding our client base in this area while adding key senior staff to our existing team. Based in our Amersham office, the combined team will provide a professional and attentive service to the transferring clients in an area that we expect to grow during 2007."

Bhargaw Buddhdev who joins Barnett Waddingham as a Partner added; "This is an extremely good development for both clients and my team. We envisage an extremely smooth transfer with clear benefits for clients from day one. Recent changes in legislation affecting pensions advice to SSASs means that this is now a specialist area that we believe will be best served through a specialist provider. Barnett Waddingham has this focus and is committed to developing and investing in this area."
