New Partners and Associates 2006
Barnett Waddingham LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of new partners and associates from 1 June 2006:
Shirley Jackson BA APMI becomes a partner in the London office where her principal responsibility is the management of the group pensions administration teams which provide services to a wide range of actuarial and adminsitration only clients.
Shirley also specialises in project management and staff development. Shirley is an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute.
Carole Ward FPMI ACII DipPFS is based in the Cheltenham office. Carole has responsibilities in the day-to-day management of the adminsitration team. She also has direct responsibility for a portfolio of significant corporate clients and specialies in client management issues and managing major projects. Carole is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute.
Sam Meldrum MA FIA becomes a partner in our Amersham office and takes on responsibility for firm-wide IT.
Sam was responsible for establishing and managing the software development team responsible for creating BWebstream, Barnett Waddingham's in-house pension scheme administration software.
Adam Walker MA MPHIL FIA moves from Amersham to become a partner based in Barnett Waddingham's Liverpool office. Adam works in most areas relating to occupational pensions, including investment and winding-up work. He is managing editor of the firm's website.
Adam serves on the committee of the NAPF West London Group and regularly speaks on NAPF and Association of Pensions Lawyers courses.
Commenting on the new appointments, Senior Partner Adrian Waddingham said "I am delighted both that the firm continues to grow, and that we have such excellent people in the firm now joining the partnership".
Andrew Roberts MA FIA has been working with directors' pension arrangements and is a qualified actuary and an experienced consultant.
He moves to our Liverpool office as an Associate to join the existing team of specialists and to expand the products and services offered as a result of the new pension taxation regime.
Sarah Brown BSc FIA works as a Scheme Actuary in the Liverpool office. Sarah qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2003 and has over 6 year's experience of occupational pensions actuarial work.
Sarah heads up the Liverpool actuarial team working for employers and trustees of corporate pension schemes.
Mandie Bird APMI is based in the Cheltenham office and is an administration team leader. Mandie is responsible for a varied portfolio of pension schemes with close client contact.
Mandie is also an adviser for the Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS).
Alison Hamilton BSc FFA joined Barnett Waddingham LLP's Glasgow office in February 2006 to help build our Public Sector Actuarial Practice.
