Barnett Waddingham London Group Pensions team expansion
Higham Group transfers ongoing actuarial consulting and administration services to Barnett Waddingham LLP
Higham Group has reached an agreement to transfer its Actuarial Consulting & Benefits practice (formerly known as Higham BlackMountain) to Barnett Waddingham. A team of four of Higham Group's staff, including Paul Jayson who joins as a partner, will transfer under the new arrangements ensuring that on-going SME pension scheme clients continue to be served by the same core team from Barnett Waddingham's London office at 138 Cheapside.
The development does not affect the provision of Higham Group's actuarial, administration and consulting services to discontinued pension schemes.
"The transfer will be as seamless as possible and our SME clients can be reassured that they will continue to be served by a leading provider in this specialist market," said Alan Higham, Chief Executive of the Higham Group.
"With recent changes in legislation, the actuarial consultancy market has become highly specialised. This decision enables both organisations to focus on their core strengths. Higham Group continues to lead the market in pension scheme wind-ups and PPF, actuarial and preparation services. Barnett Waddingham is recognised as a leading actuarial consultancy for continuing defined benefit schemes. We believe the interests of our clients and staff are best served through specialist providers, committed to developing and investing in their core areas of expertise," he added.
Adrian Waddingham, Senior Partner at Barnett Waddingham, said: "We are delighted with this opportunity to expand our client base and breadth of staff expertise. The combined team in our London office will provide a professional and attentive service to the transferring pension scheme clients".
