Exam successes - July 2003
A report on recent achievements by Barnett Waddingham staff in professional examinations.
This summer's professional examination results provided several reasons for celebration.
Amersham office enjoyed two qualifications as Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, with Paul Houghton and Emily Gray earning their certificates.
Ed Spencer in Leeds office also qualified as a Fellow.

In London Nick Bunch and Jeff Scholey earned their Diploma in Actuarial Techniques. Nick also obtained the Certificate in Investment and Finance, along with Vanessa Smart from Amersham office and the Cheltenham trio of Ben Roach, Matthew Tickle and Sam Underhill. A large number of other actuarial candidates were successful in passing particular papers on their path towards qualification.
In Liverpool Kathryn Dacre got her Investment Advice Certificate (IAC), while Annabel Scott from Leeds and Nick Wickham from London received their Financial Planning Certificates (FPC).
In the Qualification in Pensions Administration exams Barnett Waddingham staff passed a total of 30 exams and gained 17 workbased units, with Fiona Rumsby and Ollie Clymo from Amersham qualifying and thus being entitled to MPMI status.

Steve Adams, Ollie Clymo, Philippa McInnes and Tim Scholes from Amersham office, Angela Angell from Cheltenham and Richard Abel from Leeds office all passed three or more units at this sitting. Hazel Galton and Carole Ward from Cheltenham also earned assessors' qualifications.
The Pensions Management Institute exams also proved to be a source of success for Barnett Waddingham with 15 passes and 1 qualifier to report: Cheltenham's Sue Manning is now an APMI. Chris Potts from Amersham and Andy Greig from Cheltenham completed the Retirement Provision Diploma and are thus entitled to MPMI status.

Last, but by no means least, Amardeep Sitara in London is now a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
