Historic SSAS Seminars

For over ten years, Barnett Waddingham have hosted a series of seminars on the subject of small self-administered pension schemes each autumn. The seminars are designed to give both our clients and their professional advisers informative guidance on small schemes. The seminars, which include a buffet lunch, are free to our SSAS, SIPP and FURBS clients.

In 2002 we were delighted to announce two new exciting venues to add to our already popular locations. These two venues were the race courses at Cheltenham and Wetherby. This allowed for an enjoyable afternoon watching the horses.

The topics covered each year vary, with an emphasis on visiting areas where there have been recent legislative or commercial developments. In addition, every year there is a portion of each seminar given over to a discussion of the current issues affecting small schemes.

The four talks in the 2002 seminars were:

  1. Planning for imminent retirement from an SSAS
  2. SIPPs - the latest contribution rules, and permitted property investments
  3. Case studies of unusual SSAS opportunities
  4. Current Issues on SSASs and SIPPs
