Cheltenham Jazz Festival

Barnett Waddingham continues its sponsorship of the annual Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

The seventh Cheltenham International Jazz Festival takes place from 2 May to 6 May 2002, and carries on the tradition of mixing big names and fresh new talent. Barnett Waddingham, with its Cheltenham office also famous for its blend of big names and fresh new talent, will be sponsoring two of the acts this year.

Adrian Waddingham, Jon Bridger, Nuala Hedges and others will be the hosts as a number of clients join us for the appearance of Jools Holland and his band on Thursday 2 May. Jools' latest album has made it into the top ten, and his latest advertising campaign suggests that he might well be suited to an actuarial career, appreciating that the "blend" of assumptions is what is important in a valuation basis.

Barnett Waddingham staff will gather in numbers to dance to the rhythms of Roberto Pla and his Latin Jazz Ensemble on Saturday night. For one week only, Zapata moustaches and open-necked shirts will be permitted in the office, although samba is restricted to lunch hours only. Roberto is the lead percussionist in a Colombian/Cuban fusion combo who has played with stars of the magnitude of Madonna and Dizzy Gillespie.

Barnett Waddingham is delighted to be associated with the Festival again this year and wishes it every success.
