EURACS and NORACS Annual Conference
Huw Wynne-Griffith and Nick Salter attended the Annual Conference of EURACS and NORACS firms in Washington at the beginning of April. This is a wonderful time to visit Washington with the cherry blossom in full bloom but of course the conference was busy and there was not much time to enjoy the fine weather!
NORACS is an affiliation of North American firms but includes Barnett Waddingham as its representative in the UK. There are two Canadian firms, and six US firms covering the whole of North America with the exception of Mexico. One of the conclusions at the conference was the recognition that a Mexican firm was needed to complete the coverage.
EURACS is similarly an affiliation of independent firms throughout Europe. Representation of a quality firm in each territory was considered an important requirement particularly as companies in Europe are becoming more European in nature and less based in a single territory.
Cross border corporate activity is continuing apace and EURACS and NORACS are well placed to assist clients in this regard. A conference is being organised for June in Paris on this topic - further details to follow.
These annual conferences are an excellent way to foster closer relations between the different firms and to ensure that advice for clients when required can be provided with a level of service, cost and understanding that is second to none. Further information on the firms involved in EURACS and NORACS can be found from their websites, or please contact Huw Wynne-Griffith or Danny Wilding on EURACS matters and Nick Salter or Mark Underwood on NORACS matters.
