Huw in Hungary
Huw Wynne-Griffith was invited to speak on 13 December, at a seminar organised by the Institute of Bankers Training Centre in Budapest, Hungary.
The invitation came through Agnes Matits who is closely associated with EURACS, and who knew Huw when he was Chairman of EURACS.
The seminar was attended by about 100 delegates from the banking, insurance and the pensions industry in Hungary. The subject of Huw's talk was "Pensions in a Mature Environment" which emphasised the social and fiscal effects of an ageing population and the way in which the responsibility appears to be passing to employers and the individual from the state in the UK. The talk was not delivered in Hungarian!
