Selection Process

Our selection process involves two stages:

Stage 1 is our online application form.  On receipt of this form your application will be considered against the other applications, in line with our criteria and the competencies advertised.

If you are successful at Stage 1, you will be invited to Stage 2.

Stage 2 involves a one day assessment centre, usually at the office to which you have applied.

We have designed the day not only as an assessment tool for us, but also for you to gain further insight into the firm.  Information provided and opportunities to meet current employees and partners on the day will enable you to gain a greater understanding of the firm, our culture and people.

The day will include a series of exercises and an interview, together with a presentation from a senior member of the firm.  A lunch will also be held during which you will meet some of the partners, associates and other team members.  The intention is to keep the day informative yet relaxed.

The exercises are to enable us to assess your performance against the competencies required for the role and how you would fit into the team.

The competencies we are assessing are:

  • Communication - spoken, written and non verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Self motivation
  • Business awareness
  • Planning and organising
  • Problem solving
  • Teamwork
