Vivienne joined Barnett Waddingham’s Life (now Insurance Consulting) Team in 2002 after graduating from UMIST with a degree in Maths and Management.
In 2008 Vivienne completed her actuarial exams and became a fully fledged actuary. Vivienne is actively involved with the CMI’s work, in particular the Income Protection and SAPS Mortality investigations. This includes carrying out regular experience analyses, analysing subsets of the data and, more recently, performing graduations of the mortality experience of self-administered pensioners and the sickness inception experience of income protection data. Vivienne also acts as support to the Partners in their statutory roles and assists with regulatory reporting and the valuation of long term liabilities for life insurance companies.
Since completing the exams Vivienne has used her spare time to train for various sporting events and raise money for various charities. In 2009 she completed the Race for Life, the Moonwalk and the Thames Bridges Bike ride. For 2010 she has set her sights on completing a mini triathalon.
