Vanessa Smart FIA

Vanessa Smart graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Physics in 2000.

Vanessa joined Barnett Waddingham in the same year. Vanessa qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2004, has been a team leader in the Amersham Office since 2005 and became a Partner of the firm in 2011.

Vanessa is involved in a wide range of pension scheme work on behalf of trustees and employers including actuarial valuations, investment advice, benefit design, scheme wind-ups and mergers and acquisitions. She also specialises in one-off cases, including pension loss due to illness or redundancy and trust apportionments.

Vanessa enjoys walking and running, is a keen musician and plays the flute in a wind quintet.
