Paul Hamilton FIA

Paul Hamilton graduated in mathematics in 1995 from Oxford University and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in June 2001.

Paul joined Barnett Waddingham in 1995. In June 2004, he moved to set up the new actuarial practice in our Glasgow office, and was made a partner with effect from 1 June 2005. He is now based in our Cheltenham office.

Paul has a Scheme Actuary certificate, is responsible for a portfolio of clients, and has experience of all aspects of corporate pension arrangements, including consultancy advice to occupational schemes whether ongoing or winding up, advice to employers on restructuring of sales and purchases (including outsourcing), and investment advice to occupational schemes, and the tricky issues relating to multi-employer schemes.

He is a member of our Trustee Consulting Board, which oversees client service delivery and future development of this practice area, and is particularly involved with developing our actuarial systems.

He is a regular speaker at technical seminars both internally and externally.

Paul enjoys kayaking and croquet, and tries to go running, though that is less enjoyable.
